He is a Friend of mine He is a Friend of mine He is a Friend of mine Can I take my time to tell my story I'm a living testimony I tried to be the best that I could be But it wasn't enough to keep my family So I found myself all alone What happened to my happy home Jesus kept me in the midst of it all I'm telling you brothers; he won't let you fall Help me sing it Some years ago I lost my mother It was hard for my sister and my brothers We found ourselves in a daze. Tears running down our face What will we do; where will we go We didn't have options; we were hurting so But look at us; standing here today Yeah this family... God will make a way
