It was kind of like a dream, until I seen, I was nowhere near asleep

I had to lose my mind, to realize, I had Promises to Keep

I have only just started,

to tell you, of the hell that my eyes, have seen

Had to walk away, after several days, and let the smoke hang in the air

but still on my feet, I was choking on despair
