Across the seas a beacon it calls to me

It's safety and comfort

Across the ocean that seems eternal

The light you shine is my guide

You've guided me home so many times

Yet I set sail a thousand more

The light goes dark

The ocean rages

The lighthouse fades

Take heed of warnings on the wind

And follow the light before it dims

Life's many journeys are filled with turmoil

But with a goal it's all worthwhile

The lighthouse shines for all that see

But if you avert your gaze

You'll lose your way

And when you seek it out after times of fear the light still shines but you never near

Once the wind stops blowing you on your way the only trail is to back away
