A piece of music exists as a function of time.

It exists while it is being played, but...

You need to invest a specific amount of time to enjoy a particular piece of music.

And, I don't know, I think that's ... funny...

It still needs time, a specific amount of time to be enjoyed,

and when it's over.

It-- it can only exist through the passage of time,

and I think that's ... poetic. Anwyay.

Sometimes you just get inspired and everything fits.

But other times, you spend your time searching for this one sound,

the right melody, the right harmony.

Like-- every melody that ever existed is right there in your hands,

and yet it's still something that you have to search for.
