Nemesis
Like a frog in a pot, I feel the taste is not what it used to be
Yeah, it's a slow drag away from how it used to taste
And I think you think you're fooling me
'Cos I'm pretty sure they're not like they were before
And I'm convinced there's even less of 'em in a box
And it's stretching my budget in order to afford
That little bit more and that kinda sucks
I've never been one to complain
But I think you dudes are playing a stupid game
Treating me like a jerk and pretty soon I'm gonna lurch and burst into flames
Don't think that I don't know and it slips on past me in the flow
Don't think that I can't see you're getting rich and there's just me
Getting poor; Well, sugar no more
Did you think that I would just stay hushed?
Or simply say that it was forever thus
'Cos here comes the day where you'll not get away
'Cos I'm gonna be your nemesis putting an end to this
Micro-that, micro-this; everything's getting smaller bit by bit
I wish I could say the same for all of it
But company profits, executive wallets
Ans do we have to cop it where we start to stop it?
I'd like to meet you head on but it seems you've got too much might and power
And I'd be too easy for you to simply tread on and grind me into powder
So, no bull at the gate, I'll stealthily wait, calculated and discreet
Just there out of sight and when the time is right
And I'll come blazing as you're lazing in your sleep
And though you thought it all was oh, so, predictable
You'll know that life really never is
You'll wake up done from that hit and run exacted by me, your nemesis
Putting an end to this
