I never fully left the hustle
It was still there
Still part of how I moved
How I survived
How I provided
But at the same time
Music was getting more serious
Less playing around
More purpose
That's when I leveled up
From the garage
In the hills
To a real setup
Well, real to us
My homeboy had turned his granny garage
Into a studio
And not just threw together
He really invested in it
He put time and money and effort
Into making it something special
Soundproofing, equipment, the whole vibe
To me, it was amazing
It felt a step forward
Like I was getting closer to something real
So I started spending more time in there
Recording more
Bringing in more singers
Trying different sounds
Really working on my craft
Putting money into it
But with that came problems
That I didn't even expect
The homies
That spot turned into a hangout
People always around
In and out
Talking, smoking, joking
Watching everything
And when I did get in the booth
They'd be listening
Laughing
Cracking jokes
Not always out loud
But enough where you could feel it though
Especially when I was working with other singers
Trying to create something different
Something bigger
That they weren't used to hearing me
Sing or rap
That energy
It started messing with my focus
I was paying good money
Trying to lock in
And couldn't even get peace
At first I tried to ignore it
I tried to push through it
But it kept happening
Session after session
Until one day
Me and my boy Lamik was in there
And we was recording
And the same thing happened again
Laughing
Whispers
Side comments
And he was feeling it all
He looked at me frustrated
Mad at me
"Man, fuck them," he said
Then he said something that stuck with me
"Buy your own studio, bro"
Simple
But powerful
Because in that moment I realized something
I was investing in myself
But still putting my vision in other people's hands
Still depending on environments that I couldn't control
Still allowing distractions
Where there should've been focus
And that ain't how you build something real
So I made a decision
No more waiting
No more working around people
No more compromising my vision
I went and got my own setup
My own space
My own studio
Where I could create how I want it
When I want it
Without the noise
Without doubt
Without interruption
That wasn't just about music
That was about ownership
About believing in myself enough
To invest fully
Because at some point
If you serious about your craft
You gotta stop asking for space
And create your own
And that's exactly what I did
