You gotta be, gotta be on your toes

You never know how it goes

Some stories never told, but now you know

Ok, my homie hit me up asking me"what's the word for Halloween?"

But I ain't have a clue

I was gon spin the block with lil sis, trick or treat

But he had something else we could do

He said now that we 16 it'd be my first party and that was the move

God was trynna tell me something

So I took a nap before I left and I'll never forget

I had to act like a vet

Threw on a casual costume and called it a wrap

Popped me some gum I was set

Me and my dogs feeling goofy, I'm fitted like Max

Peeped in my pocket and saw I'm in debt

Knew I was gon have to sneak in the party but I don't care, we finna ride

Walked down the street with my bros on the side

We rolling up talm bout whips and the blunts

Hop out the car then we get to the front

Something smelling weird the second I get to the func, but maybe I'm tripping

Smoke in the air like stars in the night

Get to the back and then boom, see a lightskin, look at my homie"You think what I'm thinking?"

She was real fine in the dark, so I closed my eyes

I feel a spark when her lips hit mine

Her name, I think it was Lucy, but I forgot, her kiss captivating

We hear a shot, everyone running, I grab shawty hand

Make our way to my car now my breath ain't bubblegum it smell like I'm drinking

Her glitter all over my pants

Get home like everything normal

Wake up and wonder, was I dreaming, damn

You gotta be, gotta be on your toes

You never know how it goes

Some stories never told, but now you know

You gotta be, gotta be on your toes

You never know how it goes

Some stories never told, but now you know
