Have you ever heard of benzodiazepine
It's a script they be passing, handing out like candy
They'll write it up for anything so casually
All you gotta do is tell 'em that you got anxiety
Or maybe trouble sleeping, even problems with your knee
It don't really matter, probably give it to you free
But if you ever stop it, God gon' have to intervene
'Cause what it really is, is Devil's Diazepine
Yeah
They prescribed the K to me 'cause I wasn't okay
I was drowning in the panic, and they said this was the way
Here's a tiny blue pill, take it, pain'll go away
And all I had to do was take a milligram a day
So I took it for some years, four years to be exact
Brought the panic down, had me thinking I was past
Till the bill came due and I had to pay the tax
Tried to come off it but my whole brain collapsed
Doctor took me off it with a four-week taper
Told me I'd be fine while she handed me the paper
I did what she said 'cause I was dumb and I believed her
Started spiralin' to the bottom till I met up with the reaper
Have you ever heard of benzodiazepine
It's a script they be passing, handing out like candy
They'll write it up for anything so casually
All you gotta do is tell 'em that you got anxiety
Or maybe trouble sleeping, even problems with your knee
It don't really matter, probably give it to you free
But if you ever stop it, God gon' have to intervene
'Cause what it really is, is Devil's Diazepine
When the symptoms started hittin' I was on the bottle sippin'
I was poppin' for the panic but I stopped and started trippin'
Yeah I tried to start again, but the feeling wasn't hittin'
Yeah I even tried to double, but there ain't no re-committin'
Once you start to come off it, there ain't any way to stop it
So I went to rehab, figured maybe that would solve it
Thirty days later, still no signs of it stoppin'
Took three more years 'til the symptoms started droppin'
Search it up yourself, protracted withdrawal
You should never trust a pill to heal a feel and do it all
'Cause the system isn't built to be catching when you fall
In my opinion, this withdrawal is the worst of them all
Have you ever heard of benzodiazepine
It's a script they be passing, handing out like candy
They'll write it up for anything so casually
All you gotta do is tell 'em that you got anxiety
Or maybe trouble sleeping, even problems with your knee
It don't really matter, probably give it to you free
But if you ever stop it, God gon' have to intervene
'Cause what it really is, is Devil's Diazepine
