I left my schedule wide open

I park the car round the corner and toward her window

I glance briefly before I walk up to the door with a big surprise

And I drive out to the ocean side where we used to park long after it was dark – killing time

I said I still can’t forgive her for sleeping with two of my friends

I held her under the water and then let her drift away
