Chasing a Shadow

Following the shadow with only himself to blame

Though it really mattered

He just thought it was a game

A game he played so many times

But now it’s at the end

Wishing he could just restart again

Far away

Echoes stay

He’s still afraid

Lost control

Doesn’t know

Was his fault

Following the shadow with only himself to blame

He is not fooling himself

He knows it’s not the same

But maybe there’s a silver lining

He just needs to breathe

And chasing shadows is the way to see

But suddenly sees it

And cannot believe it, how he acted and the

Shadows are gone…

Echoes fade
