Letra

With this 2020 vision looking back in 2002
My first pair of Air Forces white, and black back when all I knew was trying to act like something I'm not
I might've asked for a car, but I never asked God to show me truth and got tricked by every mirage
Everything that looked pretty just a facade
Everything I looked past was so beautiful almost forgot about the stars
Forgot about principles they taught me but I ignored
Coming home to report cards with F's, and D's across the board
Running off on my skateboard
My friends in the skate park made noise
Jumping my first six stair, I thought I should've got laid for it
Fifteen buying loose cigarettes in the store, hit the graveyard
Rolling Garcia Vegas til' we learned how to not break one
With everything I was blessed with I think why the fuck didn't I go to college? instead of get reckless, and use my family's connections
But a class with a professor scared me senseless, and driving to Cincinnati with twenty thousand in a package seemed to make sense
Like my senses were flipped backwards you'd have to see what I meant
What gave me peace would make most people I've met sick
The chemicals that I'd eat would leave most people in a ditch
It's The Yellow Ghost when it's over I just hope I can see my friends
And tomorrow's not promised but I'll be good by the weekend
I hope I'm not seeing things or dreaming when the ether turns to cement
I hope you know there's more to things than what you see in the flesh
I'm a jazzy young king so you cross me, and you'll never see me again
