I am an architect, I built a lot of walls around my heart

Wish I could find someone to blame, been disappointed with myself

I've been hurt a thousand times, but nothing quite like this

And I gave up all my power, it's a little hard to admit

I'm searching for some serenity, but the words I can't recall

When I walk, will I walk alone, will someone see me if I fall?

I'll take two steps, though I'm scared to death

I'll take three steps, though I know I ain't seen nothing yet

No one said it would be easy to break down all these walls

And when I make amends, I'm determined for you to see me standing tall
