Messy

In my darkest night

I tried so hard to hide

Behind polished smiles

And foolish pride

Thought I hated the figure

Starin back at me in the mirror

Lipstick couldnt blur the picture

And how the hell could I ever fix Her

It was anything but pretty

                                   

Somewhere in the messy

I found the very best of me

the thing that really set me free

Let me do what I’m told

How to grow

Remind me I’m ok

If only just for today

Give myself a little break

And a whole lot of grace
