The Face of Autumn

Can't even say how many times

I've spent my nights at the coastline

Seing nothing but these cloudy skies

And feeling like I'm living on overdrive

Slowly the fog clears infront of my eyes

Finally I can watch the waves as they pass by

The face of autumn has arrived

As it puts its hand inside of mine

I've spent so much time standing at this intersection

Feeling lost

Trying to find out the right direction

It's hard to know how long we'll be here together

But no matter what we'll still be dipshits forever

As the wind blows to Colorado

I'm staring at the face of autumn

Cheer up

Don't be sad

After all

Here we stand

I'm done with wondering how long all of this will last

No longer will I live in fear of losing it all

I will never stop missing you but that fear won't catch me now

I'm done with painting all these devil's on the wall
