I saw two sparrows

Flirting by the lake

And they spun around one another

Like debris caught in the wind

So I made tracks

Then came back late that night

And I drew them in my head

And they flew like they were there

And for a moment, I swear

They really were

And I woke from a dream

Of a fox at the top of the road

Who screamed as if in heat

Or just hurting for a hare

So I breathed in the air

And its eyes reflected light

Like the traffic signs behind

So, making use of the night

I pissed on a dead log
