The music composition is dead sound. Its performance gives it life. Recording embalms sound.

Sounds are sounds of things. Music is what links a sound to another sound.

Sound objects reveal themselves as clearly and precisely as visual objects—as both are imagistic. 

Silence is aggregation of instantaneous sounds. 

Music is the sound of missing things. It separates sound from its thing. Its thing is no thing in particular but instead, an idea.
