There’s a noise out in the street

People marching to the beat

If we’ve got this life could it be good for everyone?

Cos there might not be a next one

Yeah there’s probably not a next one

I do my best not to be cliché

But there is no other way to say

That we get 80 years approximately, give or take

So make it bearable for your sake

And let us live our lives for fuck’s sake

See I’ve got a problem with money and greed

Where people with power and wealth take even more than they need

And people doing their best to serve society are using food banks

And struggling to pay the rising cost of rent

Well it’s no surprise people’s patience is spent

And funding is cut left and right and center for the very things that mattered

And industries are destroyed to the

point that our hopes and dreams are shattered

And before our very eyes we’re being stripped and robbed of everything we hold dear

And the finer things in life are being ripped away

And we go to bed remembering that we have to do it all again the next day
