On the Rocks

Are you right

In that distance is a temporary fix

From the patterns I create

And try to navigate?

Is it painted inside me

Or can it be dismantled?

Can forgiveness of self be escapist?

Watching water cover my feet

Sun spots cover me

Through the canopy of the trees

I’m starting to realize that

Happiness needs to start first with me

Maybe then the loneliness will start to fade
