My Name's Already There

I started out for Heaven one day on my knees

I’ve never seen the gates or walked the golden streets

But somewhere in the pages of the Lamb’s book of Life

I know that my name has safely arrived

My name’s already there and praise God I’m on my way

It won’t be very long ‘til I step inside the gates

All the glories of that city one day I will share

I’ve never been to Heaven but my name’s already there

The Book of Life was opened by two nail-scarred hands

When I knelt at the altar and I was born again

Now I’m an heir to a mansion He has gone to prepare
