New Levels

New levels, new devils

Come with the territory

That’s alright

When you reach new height

It’s gon’ be a new challenge

I’ve been trying to move right

I’ve been trying to find balance

Pray under the moonlight

Asking God to move mountains

Hoping I don’t lose sight

Going in this next chapter

God take the wheel

I been struggling with my mental health it’s getting real

Sometimes it’s hard to deal with these emotions that I feel

Seem like it’s easier to die than it is to heal

Good thing my desires ain’t as strong as my will

New levels, new devils I’ve been moving up

If I was God I’d be like he been through enough

Life is great but at the same time times is rough

Devil trying to knock me down while I’m climbing up

I know I’m good but I question if I’m good enough

All this trauma in my body make it hard to trust

I see all my insecurities when I fall in love

Enemy telling me lies I gotta call his bluff

All this anger and rage I got it bottled up

And tend to hurt the ones that love me every time that I erupt

My shorty forgave but next time I might be out of luck

Doing all this work on myself still feeling like I’m stuck

I know I won’t be here forever

I know I’ll never have it all together

It don’t matter how many people call you special

First you gotta know that you a vessel

When you reach new height

Life a test I might not always pass with flying colors

But you know I’m always down to do the work to rise above it

Cause it come a time in life when you get sick and tired of suffering

I’m praying all through out the day and night I feel like I’m muslim

Ain’t no wrong and rights to this life you can’t take instructions

So when you elevate to new heights

Be constructive

Put your money up for a rainy day and don’t touch it

Don’t live beyond your means your day gon’ come to be stunting

Everybody got they own path

What make yours grow won’t grow my grass

Expecting the best but I’m prepared if thangs go bad

I got life insurance case I end up with a toe tag

My son gon’ get a whole bag

But God know I don’t want that

On this road to success sometimes you just gon’ crash

Your faith that’s your air bag

I been reaching new heights no wonder why I’m jet lag

While you going through this life make sure you stay steadfast

It is important for me to wake up and feel good about starting my day

Because that’s what helps me

That’s what’s pivotal about my journey

If I wake up feeling like, off

Something ain’t right

I gotta make sure that I remember what happened that previous day and I don’t need to repeat that

I may need to adjust so I can feel better the following day

Everything is from within, everything is from me

It starts with me and finishes with me

I have to hold myself accountable like that

So I try to keep things day to day

One day at a time
