Letra

I thought I buried all my lovers
In the softest crystal sand
She was crashing on the shoreline
Just to pull away again
The holy dove was moving
My broken calloused hand
To caress her icy temple
So my memories could land
Carried off I was alone
In a tower built from stone
Witnessing the world below
Cold and far away from home
Trapped in the crucible of time
The narrow pathways of my mind
Only darkness could I find
My eyes were open I was blind
In a mansion cold and barefoot
I climbed the marble stairs
She greeted me in candle light
And vanished in despair
Trembling in disbelief
I turned to my past
To the scent of burning ebony
And shadows cast
Carried off I couldn't hide
The wind had spoken I'd arrived
Witnessing the memories
And all my choices in the sea
There wasn't anywhere to go
Nor any wisdom left to know
But in my mind I hear her poem
Finally carrying me home
