Vocation Reprise

And in the light of the sun

I can say that the lord is proud of what I’ve done.

Now I lay my weary head to sleep,

And I do my part, I play Shepard to the sheep.

For the good man comes from the noble factory

And I shake his hand, hallelujah to he.

I keep his name with me.

For the day has come to be

That I join in that holy place of dreams,

That I do another part, and now I oil the machines.

I toil hand in hand with my sisters and my brothers.

I put irons in the fire with my fathers and my mothers.

Thus this family we forge both in purpose and in pleasure

Can retire in the kingdom, knowing we are of the treasured.

Sir at the end of my days I can say

That I'm proud of what I’m done,

And once again I can say that the Lord is proud of what I've done.
