Testing Faith

I can't understand all these thoughts inside my head as I lie in bed

Feeling so very strange

I passed the devil, and I let him pass me by

But I looked back

And he looked me in the eye, I couldn't look away

Now I ask myself why

Maybe Life's testing my faith

My heart says it's out of my hands

Maybe Life's testing my faith

To prove I'm a bigger man?

And my life has some bigger plan?

I stood straight up as I watched my world fall down

Into the underground

Where I fit in oddly well

I said, "You don't know me, I will stand for what is right."

He said, "Boy, you don't know how to fight."

I said, " True, but I'm insane and game to throw down tonight!"

So now Life's testing my faith

My heart says it's out of my hands

To prove I'm a bigger man?

And my life has some bigger plan?
