When Jesus comes again

The sun will fade beside our king

The skies ring out with praise

As every creature worships Him!

Slain in weakness raised in power

Now he comes to reign

O make ready for that hour

When Jesus comes again

'How long?' the martyrs cry

Creation groans in bitter pain

Our tears will not be dried

Until the Healer comes again

All injustice brought to light

Evil washed away!

Every wrong will be made right

When Jesus comes again

He comes and who can stand?

His wrath descends with awesome weight

Come shelter with the lamb

His blood our refuge on that day!

Holy Son for us made sin!

The righteous judge condemned!

All our hope is found in him

When Jesus comes again

At last forever free

When Jesus comes to take us home

And then with joy we’ll see

The breathless beauty of your throne

Every sorrow every grief

Finally undone

Every heart from sin set free

So come Lord Jesus come
