Strange news this abuse

I’m always up more than down

If nothing else, can’t you tell?

It’s not just on Sundays ‘cos I’m still here on Mondays

When the phone rings now I let the phone ring out

I keep it clinical ‘cos it’s critical given the space I need now

I don’t care it’s a lonely affair ‘cos the numbers will see me through

Killing my community with their senseless incredulity

These are numbers, not feelings

They’re the facts that fuel my dealings

In how well they’ve done me by
