Doubts

Was left alone to wonder the streets

Where no one retreats

My mind is in the shadows

My soul awaits the Gallows

I've lost all Hope for redemption

With the divine connection

Doubts linger in my thoughts

The Devil lurks and plots

Festering evil surrounding

My heart is pounding

Begging for one second with no pain

I have been damned nothing left to gain

Doubts was my sin

Let the judgement begin

I did not believe

Nor could conceive

A life with misery

A world of trickery

Where is the divine in all of this?

The promised bliss

I thought I knew best

But now I can never rest

Only fire and darkness

Forever Godless

My family still within the living

In their prayers are still giving

Blessings to my soul

To purge my heart of coal
