Don't Think I'll Be Going Out Today

Summers here rubbish on the street

Flies around the waste bin buzzing in the heat

Curtains closed in the middle of the day

Don’t think I’ll be going out today

Tap drip dripping there’s nothing on the shelf

Couldn’t pour a glass of water to save myself

If it would only get cooler I’d be willing to pray

Don’t think I’ll be going out today

Remember in November we longed for July

But June came too soon and spring passed us by

Thunder overhead but it doesn’t bring rain

I’m out of ice cold beer again

Shops on the corner it’s such a long way

Don’t need help going out today
