There's a place I know

I used to go when I was young

where the road winds down beside a silver stream

where I dreamed a dream, and felt so free

in that place I know, I used to go when I was young

I drove back to that memory just yesterday

passed the empty lot where we'd go after school and play

I heard St. Ann's bell ring, thought about the songs we used to sing

I'm trying to find a decent reason why

I got so far out of line

Looking for a way to make things right

maybe find forgiveness in my Father's eyes

and if every heartache was just a lesson
