From 97 to the big screen, a new year to chase my dream

The first day I stepped inside a studio, a movie wrote behind the scene

I was tryna learn how to be, authentically to being me

I done fell a million times, too many times, found a way to be seen

Power 92, I was up in school when I knew I'm kickin' through the scene

Now people travel just to hear these words from the curb to the crowd scream

People off the dream of being me, I'm back to being thankful for the team

I done came a long way through hallways, thinking one day I could be

Varsity jacket, put it on my back, gold jacket, I was 13

Can't believe I made it, look at me, I'm on my way to my dream

I'ma put it all on me, ain't too much to handle when you breathe

Pray for breakthrough, I'ma see the sun beam, I could be the key

A new day, I respect the times when I laid, in this bed praying for a way

To make it out, I'm waiting for the day, and I'm still going hard away

Cooking up this magic next tape, I'ma grind summer all day
