BECAUSE OF CALVARY
The street of the city was crowded
Soon Jesus would be passing by
The people who once sang His praises
Were now crying out crucify
The hammer and nails showed no mercy
Yet in mercy He laid down His life
It is finished, love won the battle
On a dark and lonely hill side
Because of Calvary a healing stream now flows
Because of Calvary, the broken are made whole
Because of Calvary, the shackled are set free
New life is given, all because of Calvary
The arms of the Father are open
There is refuge in His warm embrace
The orphans become sons and daughters
The outcast have now found a place
The wounded can rest in His mercy
And His mercy is new every day
Through redemption we have a future
Hallelujah, God made a way
