The Gap

I tried this, I tried that, I tried food I got fat I got this hole in my life And no matter what I do There's always something missing This gap is driving me mad All my friends tried to tell me that they have found the answer But I didn't care to know I said, it's my life I don't want no one to help me I'm gonna make it alone I don't want your help No, I don't need your help I don't want nobody's help but my own I don't want your help No, I don't need no help I'm gonna make it, make it alone! I bought this, I bought that, but it still couldn't get it I feel like screaming aloud 'Cause I got everything that supposed to make me happy But I'm still not satisfied Tried the rich, tried the famous They said they'd like to help me But they were looking too It doesn't matter what you've got if emptiness goes with We're just the same as you There must be something, Oh I hope there's something There must be something more to this life There must be something, boy I hope there's something I've got to do something more with my life I took drugs, I took drink there were times I couldn't think straight I thought that this was the way It was cool to be high but it still didn't feel quite right And I needed more every day. Well I'd come to the end and I knew that things were desperate I fell down on to my knees I cried God are you there?, He said son I've been waiting, There's Someone that you should meet. I found Jesus, yes I found Jesus, Or should I say that Jesus found me. I found Jesus, now I've found Jesus I never thought this could happen to me. I got love, got direction, and life in all its fullness That's what he gave to me Jesus bought me with His life now I'm signed, sealed, delivered And I've got my guarantee. I wouldnt say things were smooth cos' I know I still get problems But I've got this power within, And in the battle of life we are more than overcomers Through Christ I know you can win. Nothing gets it, nothing really gets it Nothing gets it quite like the Lord. Nothing gets it, nothing else can get it Nothing gets it only the Lord
