I woke up alone laying in my bed
With memories of you drowning in my head
External nights paint the scattered lines
Follow along through the jagged time

A disjointed path for me to follow down
Halfway between what is real and dream
Tossing and turning to an internal scream
The ether of sleep wavers just out of view
And wandering thoughts circle back to you
