Sinking

You said we were perfect but we wasn't even close. We destroyed the only thing that could save us both. I still can't believe it. We had it all. So there we were, so far away from home with our backs against the wall. I remember a simple time. I remember it all. We were nothing but fools in love. Things will never be the same as they were before. We will never be the same as we were. All this time I thought that life was giving me a break. We fell in love. We made mistakes. I'm always sinking beneath my skin. We felt the fall. We felt everything. I feel so isolated from everything I know.
