Morning flowers, they swayed in the early breeze
Waking eyes of the field underneath the trees
"Don't be long" is what they said to me when I left at dawn
But I'm sick of hurrying and I know they're wrong
Took the bridge across the North Saskatchewan
Watched the birds, and I stood in the summer sun
"Take your time" is what they say to me and I think it's fine
Think I'll linger here til it turns to wine
