Rewind

It's like watching the world from the outside Like my life's on a tv screen Like I'm locked up in here behind someone else's eyes Watching their life go by And I don't know why this began And I can barely remember when And I'm not sure how I can make it stop Or reel myself back in Because most of the time It's like I'm watching a tape of someone else's life I wanna soak in the moments, but they're just so hard to find And everyday, I want more and more to rewind I just wanna jump in the picture Like on that show I used to watch as a child So I could enjoy what I'm seeing Instead of watching time go by from the sides And I don't know why this began And I can barely remember when And I'm not sure how I can make it stop Or reel myself back in Because most of the time It's like I'm watching a tape of someone else's life I wanna soak in the moments, but they're just so hard to find And everyday, I want more and more to rewind I wanna make the most of my life And remember it fondly after the years go by But I can't seem to get a good connection And all the while I keep losing time Other people make living look so easy Sometimes I can't even keep apart The days of my life from the dreams I have at night And it's hard to keep moving with my life Because most of the time It's like I'm watching a tape of someone else's life I wanna soak in the moments, but they're just so hard to find And everyday, I want more and more to rewind
