The Means

I've always wondered what it would be like

With the same old things

The house, the cars, the dogs and the kids

The diamond ring

But we can't afford to entertain

When we bide our time inside this maze

That I've made for two, my dear

But I do like it in here

Our vagrant steps ran wild

Drifted in this space

But now we don't

And now we don't

Have the means, do we?

I put my faith in pianos

And hope to compose prose
