  He was a skinny kid, but not a

She was pretty and shy

But had a look in her eye

     So he walked up and asked her to dance.

She politely declined and thought:

"I'm out of my mind." But she was

Playin' hard to get. She wondered

If and when she'd ever see him again.

But he turned with a wink and then said:

 One thing led to another

And she quickly discovered

He had swept her heart away.

 He said "I can't live without you.

Will you mary me? And I will

Love you all my days."

She was the kind of a girl who would

Not be rushed, though her

Head was in a spin.

"We should take it slower cuz' I

Don't really know ya."

He gave her a wink and a grin.

Well they were man and wife

In love for lifetime

And maybe a whole lot more.

All the laughter and tears

Have only sweetened the years.

They've got grandkids by the score.

   She shuffles over and she strokes his hair,

Hair now gray and thin.

"Will you dance with me?"

And he says: "Yesiree!"

She gives him a wink and a grin.
