After a Dream

No, it wasn't real It can't be helped just how it feels And I was so close But to far away for hope As the sweat pours from every pore Thoughts crept back evermore Now the moon has come and gone Chased away by the sun Does she dream of me the same Or am I the only one? I don't care about today What will we dream tonight? And the day slips by I can't help but wonder why Does my mind feel so alone Until I close my eyes And I see her clear as day We dream the night away
