Dead Nights

They leave us broken, they leave us broken for more The way of the world the way tyrants rule The way the system controls And all the pain that, and all the pain we endure We won't back down, wont back away We won't be bought, we won't be sold This time, I won't cry, I won't let my dreams die I won't let my life be in ruin Life finds a way and tears fade away I give my all, so I can breathe for another day For all the saints to see my pain This system is the way we are kept in check The powers we fear are the powers we lack The culling, the brainwashing through fear We will force open those black skies. And ignite these cold dead nights Bloodied minds we will hang on tight. And carry on till the end's in sight Hypocrites who live in castles, say how we die Society is a sickness for the dying We can't be living with all of this pressure With all this tension This paper is their tool, to make you listen And be their fool. But I won't bow I won't follow their rule I fight for the freedom I believe in This is the call to arms Lets us rise against the snakes We are pushed to the limit With our back against the wall Is this the end of me The end of everything I see You can take my voice You can my life But not the message I preach
