Moving not so far away The snow was falling, it had been for days When she ran out with a colored glass vase She had the look of being saved Melissa likes to dance the night away She took off running down the empty street The vase in her hand And her sunglasses streaked with snow Just like a crazed Brigitte Bardot My friend didn't understand the scenario Melissa and the vase looking like she had a place to go Like she knew it had to go Melissa likes to dance real slow Watch her go She ended up next to a graffitied garage The clean white snow made it seem like a desert mirage She held the vase far behind her back Let it fly as it smashed up against the brick Now she's feeling awfully optimistic Melissa likes to dance the night away The colored vase shattered like a meteorite That crashed through the atmosphere With flashes of colored light I wish I had seen this incredible sight Melissa, the vase blooming like the rose of jericho
