Thunder

Thunder rolls in Totally unexpected And the clouds go to cover the sky And the lord knows I didn't invite it Maybe beauty comes with pain Sometimes sunshine comes with rain Still I could do without a stormy day Maybe thunder claps in praise And the lightening sets the stage Still I would beg the sun to stay I will walk with rain on my skin I'll let the wind blow me away I'll let the lightening strike me I'll shrug my shoulders anyway And with a nod to the sky I'll ask the clouds to comply I know they probably will not But it's still worth a shot Seven days, several months, every minute I forget about the sun cause I don't see me standing in it Should be used to livin like this But I don't like it And I've been told to find a way to get around it See the joy in every situation See the sun in all this condensation God forgive me I'm tryin But I'm beggin for a breath cause I can't ever seem to find it I'll walk with rain on my skin I'll let the wind blow me away I'll let the lightening strike me I'll shrug my shoulders anyway And with a nod to the sky I'll ask the clouds to comply I know they probably will not But it's still worth a shot Give me time and I will find my peace of mind in the storm I know a part of me will always keep on begging for warmth I know persistence doesn't build without resistance so I'm fine to go the distance Cause I know I've gotten through it before Give me strength and I will find a way to laugh at the sky I know a part of me will never really understand why But I'm a fighter I'm a chaser I don't run away from danger I'll be begging for a break but I'll be ready to die I'll walk with rain on my skin I'll let the wind blow me away I'll let the lightening strike me I'll shrug my shoulders anyway And with a nod to the sky Asking the clouds to comply I know they probably will not But it's still worth a shot
