To make sure we don't space out while we're rapping

A's for attention, D's for deficit disorder

So what's it like? Now cue the recorder

It's sorta like, uh, well, imagine momma's telling you a story

But over to the side, there's something furry

Now other people, they just shut it out and listen to their mother

But our brains are focused on the other, check it!

You ever try to listen to a teacher teaching ya

But in your mind, you have a really awesome idea

A way to maybe make your bed by using solar power

But then you realize you spaced out for half an hour

How 'bout that time your wife was asking your opinion

And you said, "okay" but you weren't paying attention

And two weeks later, there's a table ordered by the boss

That is the color of McDonalds chicken nugget sauce

You like a space C to the A to the D to the E to the T

But really, you are showing awesome creativity

Imagine all that you could do if you just harnessed it

But maybe now, snap out of it!

To me calling this a disorder is misleading, see

'Cause there are so many things we do magnificently

Generally those with ADD are good public speakers

We're energetic, optimistic and we're multitaskers

We're passionate and visionary and spontaneous

We're also fun to be around, so come be friends with us

And yes, sometimes we are forgetful, then we're total slobs

But when we grow up, we are gonna work hard at our jobs

Annoying, isn't it? You talk and I'm not listening

But we are really dreamers and we just wanna envision it

We also love you and we couldn't live without you guys
