There's times that I... take time to remind Myself of the wealth from a great mind 'Cause after all, when then music has stopped And all the words ever written are forgotten or lost We just reiterate a thought that was taught to us But never pause to create another place for us And changes must, occur to obtain or lay down The next phase of life when the cameras bust So, take hold of the path that you walk And never fold from the passion you love Because the passing of one, single moment-- Is the flash of a gun A dash or a run, a splash in the glass from the rum And I, can't stress enough the importance of trust And a belief that is keeping you young Because the feeling of achieving it is second to none Like being born from a dream to reaching peace with the sun, one Now hear me, make sure to hold dearly The things in your life that you might give up freely Without a second thought or a real reason to Carelessly neglect, respect is worth any fear of feelings Beware the meaning, because the comparison is Merely is a barrier, waiting for the garrison to barrel in So careful of every little effort that could end within The second you make a decision, base it off the life you're livin' Cause if it isn't, then what is the reason for breathing Or even being happy or angry to anything you're seeing I mean you could always call it a day And just hope for the best things to come your way With your knees on the ground and your hands to pray Or take your dreams by the horns n pre-record your fate I chose to wake, and no I wasn't born this way But the war that I chose will show I'm more than great like What I keep with me... Is my thought That I could rise beyond the skyline, infinite Climb to find wisdom, and pride for my different Style, behind the lies and time is nearly finishing I pick the pack up the last pack of cigarettes I'm sitting for a minute while I'm listening to bitter men Sick of all sniffling n' whining how it coulda been Or shoulda been, take it as cue to begin again Start the page over, write your own life as you want it Or at least take the blame for the problems that it's causing Cause the conversation between you and your future self Is long awaited if your focuses have gone and faded So take it as a payment, the information that you're gaining Is weighing heavier than that buck you're saving So stretch it out and apply it to life Or get by and survive for the night, it's all right
