Growing fast in the spring Shooting straight, true and green Without word you detached in a haste Tumble on tumbleweed In the breeze break on free I could never keep up with your pace As I sit here and cry You keep rolling on by Stealing roses from beds in your path Tangle on Wildweed Carry on, as you need Scatter seeds of a love that won't last You never left You were just passing through Aimlessly searching for some kind of truth Tumbling on toward the fires of dawn In a glorified blaze you were gone With a spirit untamed And a youth unashamed You disperse every bud like a weight Worry not tumbleweed Carry on while I bleed I will watch as you roll to your fate Summer sun beats on down You keep dancing through town With the ghost of the seeds you let go Move along Wildweed No more tangles for me Place me back in my garden to grow You never left You were just passing through Aimlessly searching for some kind of truth Tumbling on toward the fires of dawn In a glorified blaze you were gone
