Cups and Saucers

Where I come from, tea is a very old and beloved tradition Though I haven't kept every tradition, I certainly have honored tea My family taught me that a necessary part of tea is Of course, cups and saucers (Cups and saucers) go together (Cups and) different though they are (saucers) And together (cups) they're much better (and saucers) Than they'd be apart One holds tea and one holds drips And only one goes to your lips But you need both, you see To have a perfect tea (Cups and saucers) make a table (Cups and) properly defined (saucers) Visualize it (cups) if you're able (and saucers) What comes first to mind You don't see chopsticks or a spoon When you first walk into the room It's teacups that you see At every perfect tea (Actually it's the pot you see) Standing gracefully aside (Modestly, come majestically) What, a teapot has its pride (Ready to serve at your back and call) All the great and all the small (Young and old, why, it matters not) But never cold, tea must be hot It must, tea must be hot (Cups and saucers) made from china (Cups and) serve a finer tea (saucers) After meals of (cups) pork and rice they (and saucers) Add civility One holds tea and one holds drips And only one goes to your lips But you need both, you'll see To have a perfect tea Cups and saucers Cups and saucers Cups and saucers One is fat and one is flat And one thing that's for sure is that They both fit perfectly At a perfect princess tea
