She was 17 With a baby on the way Her momma swore she'd be Out of the house by yesterday If she didn't give it up And the boy she loved Was never to be involved again Yeah her heart caving in She was never late For school or for her job But just this one mistake Was a flaw she couldn't solve And she was so afraid Her own family let her down And vowed to take away The one thing she thought would save her She went down to the water And bowed her head to pray And she looked up for a savior To take away her pain She cried God if you can hear me now I give it all to you you're there I'm sure And right now, I need something worth living for He was forty-two Living on the streets didn't even have a pair of shoes Or a dollar to his name Yeah he was so fed up with a life this tough He needed something now or he was done Yea he needed someone He went down to the water And bowed his head to pray And he looked up for a savior To take away his pain He cried God if you can hear me now I give it all to you you're there I'm sure And right now, I need something worth living for That night her momma pulled her close And said she was so sorry Couldn't believe what got into her That application he filled out last week Yeah, they needed help And they didn't know where else to turn So he went down to the water And bowed his head to pray As she looked up to her savior And thanked God for His grace And said lord if you can hear me now I don't know what to say but I say thank you You saved my life I'm sure Oh, you saved my life I'm sure Oh, and now Yeah now I have something worth living for
