Sacred Heart

There's a shadow that hangs overs me and it's screaming with uncertainty

The lightning never seems go away

I'm walking in a neighbourhood full of creatures and it's understood that escape is never feasible, I'm a prisoner

And now it's in your hands!

I can't hide

Held by terror bathed in light

In the past

for all time

I will carry this sacred heart

This dirt under my fingernails is a sign of someone that prevailed when i had to dig my way out of my grave.

The scars I wear you gave to me when you held me down and watched me bleed and escape was never feasible But I'm not your prisoner

I ran for miles from a dark that was born

i picked up the rose and was stung by the thorn

i stand here at the edge of my life

i ask myself should i stop breathing

whens my sun, my light, my flame,

to walk with no shame
