It Doesn't Hurt to Dream

When I was young I wished

that I could be

a man of pride and glory

I always used to build my own

world of fantasy

At times I put myself

on indefinite leave

so I could make my inner peace

Now I’ve become an age

where’s no time for childish dreams

I am living for the weekend

And I’ll never stop believing

there is so much more you can’t see

into my fantasy

And I know my heart

it won’t stop beating

And I know my lungs

they won’t stop breathing

I wait and see

My head’s still full of dreams

because I believe

it doesn’t hurt to dream

Sometimes I still escape

from reality

and you might think

what’s wrong with me

But I still wonder what my life

will hold for me
