Lyrics

Under a cold pale moon, the trees stand tall
Their majestic features reaching above all
As water turn to ice
The cold has swept away his life
Beds undone, one used, the rest underground
A family of four in eternity they sleep
One left behind in search for peace
A mind submerged in perpetual darkness
Walks alone forever, until the final breath
He saw no tunnel
No shimmering light
No means to end the dark
A losing battle
To reach the surface
And set his life ablaze
He drank from the bottle
to gather his strength
As his thoughts were scattered and torn
In midst of all the midwinter winds
He could hear the expressions of grief
Whispering voices forlorn
All he wanted was to never be torn
No answer to his prayers sent
No sympathy for a man who found his end
He poured another glass
and raised it to the fire
Which had engulfed the remains of his life
The time had come
And ready was his heart
As it was weaved in tragedy
The memories were burnt to ashes
Cremated in the flames
No traces of the happiness
He left his chair, pulled on his coat
One last look, a heavy sight
The open door will close his wound
Will close his wound
Out into the unknown to end his wretched life
That spawned this misery
Searching for salvation,
searching for salvation
A rope to lead the way,
from misery to death
In midst of all of the midwinter winds
He could hear the expressions of grief
Whispering voices forlorn
All he wanted was to never be torn
He saw no tunnel, no shimmering light
As he hanged himself to die
He did not panic, he did not scream
As the night was closing in
He showed no signs of life
And under a cold stone
He left his last goodbye
