River Mouth

I was swimming down at the dock to fill the day

And I saw a fit young sailor walking my way

Said he joined the fleet to feel complete

And become a real man

I could see in his eyes he was a little lamb

When I used to breathe I made bubbles on the surface

And when I used to look up all the birds would make me nervous

So I will I wander round sailing through the seven seas

And hopefully one day he'll sail to see me

And he said hold on buddy I'm coming to help you out

It's been a year and a day I'll sail through the river mouth

And I was swimming down a dark and lonely stream

I thought I saw your face in the shaped seaweed

And all the sitting ducks were just there to take a look

Laughing when they realised I was caught on a hook

I promise that I'll be there without delay

We'll soon be free of the confines we'll sail into the bay

Well I was struggling not to be reeled in

Trying to swim while thrashing my fins

All of a sudden realised I had to give in

But to my surprise it was him again

And he said hey there buddy I've come just to help you out

It's been a year and a day I've sailed through the river mouth

Well I promised you I'd be here without delay

Now we are free of the confines we'll sail into the bay
